What kind of bikes do you have?

We have full-suspension E-MTBs from CUBE, a German bike producer based out of Munich. For the 2026 season our bikes are Stereo Hybrid ONE:22 and ONE:44.
 

What do I need to bring?

If you are renting a bike, we can provide a helmet and a map of the area, along with personalized recommendations based off your experience and comfort on mountain bikes. Of course the proper gear for being outdoors in Iceland, such as rain gear and warm layers are recommended.

Why Borgarfjörður?

Glad you asked! Borgarfjörður eystri is arguably the most beautiful place in Iceland. With volcano remnants that shape the famous “door” mountain, the colorful rhyolite mountains surrounding the town, varied bird life, fishing, and the residence of the Elf queen of Iceland- what’s not to love? The area is sparsely inhabited, and charming beyond expectation, you will be exploring the uncharted!

Can I bike anywhere?

Short answer is NO. There are specific trails that are recommended for biking; and keeping the nature, sheep and pedestrians protected is a high priority for us. Keeping landowners happy is a must. If you need some more variety, just ask, there are plenty of trails available.
 

Can I rent the bike for several days?

You absolutely can! Contact us for more information about renting bikes for longer periods.
 

How difficult are your tours?

Our Mountain Biking tours are moderately difficult, but can be more or less strenuous on request. For other tours contact us for more information.
